Our Programs
Young students visit the Farm to explore nutrition, biology, and ecology concepts in a tangible way. Older students enrolled in immersive, on-farm programming develop life-skills and a deep connection to food and land.
Therapeutic Horticulture
Catering to children and young adults with disabilities, fostering essential life skills through farm-based activities. The Garden for All enhances accessibility with features like decomposed granite pathways, raised beds at different heights for full wheelchair access, shade structures, a mobile classroom and cooking cart, and sensory gardens.
Fields Trips
City Farm SLO offers on-site and virtual field trips, igniting young minds in science, farming, and environmentalism. Our programs, aligned with California's Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards, engage students from kindergarten to 5th grade, exploring Food Crops, Life Cycles, and Earth Materials on the Farm.
College Corps
City Farm SLO partners with AmeriCorps Californians For All College Fellowship program. These fellows dedicate 450 service hours to climate action, food security, and K-12 education, gaining valuable technical skills that benefit both their future and our community. From leading harvests to supporting our programs, they play a crucial role in our mission.
