2nd Annual Fall Harvest Festival, A FINE TIME FOR ALL!

EVENT RECAP
About 500 people of all ages turned out for this year's event on the farm. The weather was lovely, the food and drink were delicious, the band joyful and popular, the onsite farmers' market loaded with our autumn bounty.
Activities included hayrides and tours, tomato toss, corn roast challenge, yoga, pumpkin and face painting, bicycle drawing, pumpkin weight estimate contest.
Many thanks to our generous sponsors: City of SLO, San Luis Ranch, Alfano Motors, Pacific Energy, New Times, Central Coast Family and Carmichael Environmental.
SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Twice weekly Farm classes for Pacific Beach High School and weekly Therapeutic Horticulture classes for PREPARE continue with a variety of end-season activities activities: pumpkin carving and composting, final corn roast and stalk removal, drying seeds.
A pilot program of Farm visits by students and their teachers from J.C. Hill and Sinsheimer Elementary are scheduled for November, January and February.
THE MOUNTAIN AIR, PATAGONIA AND PROVISIONS HOST CENTRAL COAST GROWN / CITY FARM SLO
On the night of October 26, we were invited guests at the outdoor screening of "Unbroken Ground," a presentation of films sponsored by Patagonia clothing and Provisions in downtown SLO. We contributed to the chili, sold our farmers produce, and received a generous contribution of Patagonia Provisions Beer sales.
