Enable Farmers

City Farm SLO provides small farmers with affordable land to enable sustainable crop production and strengthen our local food system.

LAND MANAGER 

City Farm SLO subleases parcels of prime agricultural land to small, independent, organic farmers. The property is owned by the City of San Luis Obispo, and managed by City Farm SLO under the terms of a 20-year lease. Click here to learn more about leasing farmland at City Farm SLO!

SERVICES

We provide infrastructure in the form of a state-of-the-art irrigation system, drainage swales, road maintenance and weed abatement. We assist with services such as electricity billing, regulatory reporting, security, and marketing promotion.

COLLABORATION 

Close proximity and cooperative spirit between tenants at City Farm SLO allows Farmer-to-Farmer mentoring and collaboration. Farmers share best practices, technical assistance, and market opportunities.

TENANTS
Our farmers supply fresh organic produce to farmers' markets, restaurants, the SLO Food Coop, SLO Veg and the San Luis Coastal Unified School District's Food Service, which serves City Farm vegetables in school lunches. Click here to meet our tenant farmers!
